This weeks Dance Cover and Tutorial is out and it is no surprise that it is once again a remake called ‘Mundiyan’ from Baaghi 2 which is to be released March 30 2018. It seems this is the trend for Bollywood which makes me think, why, why change a hit classic? Yes it brings old favourites to the surface but what has happened to creating unique hit songs that makes people think of a particular hit movie.
The original song is a Punjabi sensation ‘Mundiyan To Bach Ke’ by Labh Janjua. It is a favourite of mine as being brought up in Australia, it became more commercial in our country once Punjabi MC & Jay Z put a spin on it called ‘Beware of the Boys’ in 2003.
Baaghi 2 released Mundiyan as their first song for the film, where Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani are all set to create another popular party anthem of 2018 and we are only in March.
Tiger hasn’t performed his usual dance moves, that is incorporating his signature martial arts, instead he gets into the Bhangra Fever. Don't worry, Baaghi 2, looks to have more remake’s with Jacqueline Fernandez recreating Madhuri Dixit’s iconic number ‘Ek Do Teen’ to be released soon. So keep your eyes out for March 30.
